With a rising number of deaths in Worcester recently, there is an urgent need to look at new ways of bringing safety to our neighborhoods, beginning with the resources that exist in our communities. Kai Lamumba Barrow will present the Harm Free Zone project and other exciting new community safety initiatives that are taking place in New York City. The interactive presentation will include a discussion about ways of teaming up to create truly safer communities in Worcester.

Who should attend:
Neighborhood Workers, Community Advocates, Youth Group Organizers, Neighborhood Crime watch coordinators, and Outreach Workers. Those who attended the April 28th workshop with Kai, or new interested people.

“We believe that basic necessities such as food, shelter, and freedom are what really make our communities secure. As such, our work is part of global struggles against inequality and powerlessness.”
